Battery Specifications

How can solar panels be connected to the battery? For optimal safety and efficiency, all solar panel connections to the battery must be regulated. You can directly plug your solar charge controller into the grey Anderson input or attach it to the battery's terminals.

What function does the blue Anderson plug serve? The blue Anderson plug is intended for connecting the battery to your vehicle's 12V system to power the battery charger. It is crucial to use only the vehicle's 12V supply for this connection.

Is there a voltage-sensitive relay included in the battery's design? Yes, the integrated battery charger is equipped with a voltage-sensitive relay (VSR) and an ignition source input, allowing the charger to be activated through either the VSR or an ignition signal.

Are the casing's pre-drilled holes intended for mounting the battery? Yes, these holes are strategically designed for the purpose of securely mounting the battery without risking damage to it.

New To Lithium?

  • Australian Made: Our batteries are 100% made in Australia, right here in South East Queensland.
  • Rigorous Testing: Each and every battery is cycled through a full charge and discharge cycle and load tested to ensure each battery's quoted storage capacity is correct or surpassed. Our batteries also go through a self-balancing cycle to ensure all cells are balanced before they're ready to go.
  • High Discharge BMS: We offer a high discharge BMS which allows for huge power draw off the battery while being safe and reliable.
  • Superior Quality: Our lithium batteries are built with high-quality LiFePO4 cells that offer superior performance, durability, and safety compared to cheaper imported lithium batteries.
  • More Power: Our batteries offer better discharge rates and voltage stability than cheaper imported lithium batteries, making them ideal for powering high-drain devices and appliances such as fridges and lights, which are commonly used in 4WDing.
  • Longer Lifespan: Our batteries have a longer lifespan and can withstand more charge cycles than cheaper imported lithium batteries. This makes them a more durable option for off-road use and can handle the demands of rough terrain and extreme temperatures.
  • Safer: Our batteries are built with LiFePO4 cells that are more stable and less prone to thermal runaway or explosion, making them a safer option for off-road adventures where the batteries may be subjected to harsh environments and rough handling.
  • Environmentally Friendly: Our batteries are considered a more environmentally friendly option than cheaper imported lithium batteries because they do not contain toxic chemicals or heavy metals, making them a more sustainable and eco-friendly choice for off-road adventures.

Pros of Lithium Technology

  • Lightweight and compact
  • Higher energy density
  • Longer lifespan and more charge cycles

Benefits of using Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries over Lithium Ion (Li-ion) batteries for 4WDing:

  • Safety: LiFePO4 batteries are considered safer than Li-ion batteries because they are more stable and less prone to thermal runaway or explosion. This makes them a safer option for off-road adventures where the batteries may be subjected to harsh environments and rough handling.
  • Durability: LiFePO4 batteries have a longer lifespan and can withstand more charge cycles than Li-ion batteries. This means they are a more durable option for off-road use and can handle the demands of rough terrain and extreme temperatures.
  • Performance: LiFePO4 batteries offer better performance than Li-ion batteries in terms of discharge rate and voltage stability. This makes them ideal for powering high-drain devices and appliances such as fridges and lights, which are commonly used in 4WDing.
  • Environmentally friendly: LiFePO4 batteries are considered a more environmentally friendly option than Li-ion batteries because they do not contain toxic chemicals or heavy metals. This makes them a more sustainable and eco-friendly choice for off-road adventures.

Overall, the use of LiFePO4 batteries in 4WDing offers a safer, more durable, higher performing, and environmentally friendly power source for off-road adventurers. Teralume Industries' XGO™ 105ah Slim Line Lithium Battery uses LiFePO4 high discharge cells to provide reliable and efficient power for all your off-road and recreational activities.

Proudly Australian
Keeping It Local

Our Lithium range is 100% designed, built and tested in Queensland, Australia. Our PCB's, BMS's and DCDC chargers are also designed and assembled right here in Australia. We're standing by Australian manufacturing.

The Teralume Standard

At Teralume Industries, we take battery manufacturing very seriously. Our lithium batteries are designed and made in Australia with a focus on quality and reliability. Each battery undergoes a rigorous testing process to ensure that it meets or exceeds our strict standards.

We start by cycling the battery through a full charge and discharge cycle and load testing it to verify its quoted storage capacity. We then run a self-balancing cycle to ensure that all cells are balanced and functioning properly. This is crucial for maximizing the battery's lifespan and preventing any potential safety hazards.

Our batteries are made using high-quality LiFePO4 cells, which offer superior performance and safety compared to traditional lithium ion batteries. They have a higher energy density, a longer lifespan, and are more resistant to thermal runaway and other safety hazards.

When it comes to off-road and recreational activities, reliable power is essential. That's why we stand behind our batteries and offer a 5-year warranty. When you choose Teralume, you can be confident that you're getting a top-quality power source for all your adventures.
