Your HiLux, Your GVM
- How GVM works: GVM is the max your N80 HiLux can legally weigh when loaded. Everything counts — passengers, fuel, accessories, canopy/tray, tools and gear.
- Payload impact: With a 3,000–3,050 kg GVM and roughly 2,040–2,270 kg kerb weight (variant-dependent), you’re left with about ~780–1,010 kg payload. That figure includes people, fuel, and tow-ball download if you’re towing.
- Towing link: The weight applied to the tow ball directly reduces your payload (e.g. 300 kg ball weight means 300 kg less payload left for gear and accessories).
- Teralume design: Our trays and chassis-mount bodies are built light so you can carry more passengers, fuel, tools and camping gear without maxing out your GVM. We usually add 280–550 kg and remove nearly 200 kg when your tub is removed.
- Upgrade options: We also work with certified GVM upgrades to give you extra load capacity if your build demands it.

Suspensions:
Most factory suspension that vehicles are sold with is adequate for daily running around without weight. When we increase the weight, we strongly suggest that suspension is installed that suits the additional weight to keep the car safe, and well mannered.
