That build puts this platform over its GVM. We would spec you a lighter one, or talk to you about an engineered GVM upgrade, certified and plated. We would not sell you this and hope.

LEFT FOR YOU AND YOUR GEAR

Worked out for your vehicle

A vehicle that only comes as a pickup, or whose maker publishes no cab chassis mass, is weighed with the tub off and its payload worked out for yours before we quote. Your compliance plate has the final word.

Indicative figures. GVM and kerb weight are the factory figures for one cab chassis version of the vehicle, before a tray or body goes on. Weights vary from vehicle to vehicle, so your compliance plate has the final word.

No short-term warranty dressed up as confidence. We engineered it, we built it and we stand behind it.

1 GVM and payloadShear and dynamic load capacity designed to exceed the vehicle’s factory payload rating.
2 SafetyDesigned around occupant and road safety, with secure load retention, controlled weight distribution and structural stability under dynamic loads.
3 Fully TIG welded structureBuilt as one complete body, creating a stronger and more rigid structure without relying on rivets, adhesives or bolt-together construction.
4 Chassis rail mountingEngineered to spread load through the chassis rails, delivering up to 4.7 times the strength of traditional mounting systems.
5 Fully structural subframeA fully engineered frame supports the complete floor and body, reducing flex, movement and fatigue under load.
6 Continuous load pathsLoads are spread through the entire structure instead of being concentrated into isolated high-stress points.
7 Reinforced high-stress zonesMounting points, corners and load-bearing areas are strengthened to handle repeated vibration, twisting and heavy use.
8 Engineered for fatigue resistanceDesigned to withstand years of vibration, chassis movement and repeated loading without compromising structural integrity.

WHAT OWNERS SAY

OWNERS IN THEIR OWN WORDS

I looked at a lot of different canopy manufacturers around Brisbane, but I keep coming back to Teralume. The team couldn’t have been more helpful; from spending time with me at the various 4x4 shows to walking me through the process. They worked hand in hand with Bremer Ford when it came to delivery logistics and nothing was too difficult to work through with me as I refined my requirements. I’m so happy with my Chassis Mounted Canopy on my Ranger Super Duty and am now looking forward to fitting it out with my touring setup. Absolutely would recommend Dan and the team at Teralume!

Awesome product at a very fair price, recently drove 12 hours to have a canopy fitted to my Teralume tray, decided on a couple accessories to be fitted after I turned up and nothing was a hassle, good service, even better product, would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

BEFORE YOU ASK

Six questions Amarok owners ask first, answered short. For the long version, read before you buy.

Which Amarok do you fit?

Both generations. The 2023-on Amarok shares the Next Gen Ranger’s chassis and is fitted the same way. A Style TDI600 has a 3,350 kg GVM. The 2011 to 2022 Amarok is fitted too, on its own figures: a Core TDI420 dual cab has a 3,040 kg GVM. Either way, yours is weighed before we quote.

Which body suits an Amarok?

It depends on the job. A tray keeps the deck open for loads that change. A tray and lift-off canopy gives you enclosed storage that can come off later. A chassis mount body is the most integrated: one structure, designed around touring and remote travel. Tell us how you work, tour and load the Amarok and we’ll spec the one that fits.

Is there a cab chassis Amarok?

Yes. Since 2025 Volkswagen has sold cab chassis versions of the Amarok, the Style Tray among them. A pickup is fitted too: the tub comes off and the body goes on.

Do the sensors and cameras still work?

Yes. On the 2023-on Amarok the blind spot sensors are relocated within the factory’s calibration tolerance of 3 degrees, the 4-sensor or 6-sensor parking system is built into the tray, the tail lights run on the CANBUS through plug-and-play wiring, and the 360-degree camera is recalibrated where fitted. On an older Amarok, the camera and any sensors are planned in before a hole is drilled. Every function is confirmed working at handover.

Does a chassis mount body save weight?

Yes. It is around 100 kg lighter like for like, because the tray and the canopy become one structure. That weight goes back into what you carry. A pickup is weighed after the tub comes off, and we work the payload out for yours before we quote.

Can I add the fitout and power later?

Yes. The channel mounting system takes accessories without drilling, and the power hub is planned into the body from the start, so the next layer goes in cleanly whenever you are ready.
