Light the whole canopy from the button on the light, then dim it to a glow or run it flat out.
- 5000K white, 3000K amber or both together for a warmer white, from the two buttons on the light
- Dims from the light: hold a button until it is where you want it
- 892 lm white, and 1.10 A at 12 V with both colours on, so it runs off a start battery
- Sealed to IP66: a black aluminium extrusion with a UV-resistant coating
- A 1 m cable with the sealed X-Range plug; 3M backing, three screws and a PH2 bit in the box
- 5-year warranty
Every GEN2 X-Strip does all three from the two buttons on the light: white, amber or both together for a warmer white. Nothing to choose and nothing extra to buy.

THE LIGHT
ONE LIGHT AND WHAT IT DOES
Dimmed from the light
Hold the button to dim it, from a glow to full output, and let go at the level you want.
Three colours in one light
5000K white to work by, 3000K amber for camp, and both together for a warm 4300K.
Switches built in
Two waterproof buttons at the end of the light, one for white and one for amber, and 12 V straight in: no module and no controller.
Soft light, strong body
5050 high CRI LEDs under a diffused cover, so the light is even and colours look true, in a wider, stronger black aluminium extrusion.
Sealed to IP66
Waterproof and sealed, with a UV-resistant coating against the sun.
Safe on a start battery
The 100cm light draws 1.70 A at 12 V with both colours on, low enough to run from a healthy start battery.

TWO BUTTONS
Press, hold and let go
No controller and no app. The light is worked from its own two buttons at its end, white on one and amber on the other.
Both buttons are waterproof. Leave them on and a switch panel or an outside switch can run the light instead.
AMBER
Warm light fewer insects
Press the amber button and the light turns to 3000K amber. It is easy on the eyes after dark and it draws fewer insects than white light, so the canopy and the camp stay usable at night.
White is 5000K, to work by and to find what you need in the dark. Both buttons together give a warmer 4300K white to cook and read by.
- 3000K amber, for camp and fewer insects
- 5000K white, to work by
- 4300K warm white, both buttons on

FITTING IT YOURSELF
Stick the light on with the 3M backing, screw it down, or use both. The three screws and the PH2 bit are in the box: three, because one always goes missing.
The 1 m cable ends in the X-Range plug, so it runs to the battery cable, an extension or a splitter. Every X-Range wiring accessory plugs into it, and you can leave the buttons on and switch the light from outside it.
QUESTIONS
- How long is the cable?
- 1 m, ending in the sealed X-Range plug with a bare tail, so every X-Range wiring accessory plugs into it.
- How do I switch it on?
- Press a button at the end of the light: one for white and one for amber. You can leave them on and switch the light from a switch panel instead.
- Can I have white and amber on together?
- Yes. Both buttons on give a third, warmer white.
- Can I dim it?
- Yes. Hold the button for a colour and the light dims or brightens until you let go.
- Are screws included?
- Yes: three 20 mm self-tapping screws and a PH2 bit, and the 3M backing is already on the light.
- Is it waterproof?
- Yes. It is sealed to IP66, and a UV-resistant coating protects it in the sun.
- Can I run two lights off one cable?
- Yes. A 1 to 2 way splitter runs both off one cable, and each light keeps its own buttons.
- Will an external dimmer work?
- No. External dimmers are not compatible with the dimmable range; the light dims from its own buttons.
- Is it a good camping light?
- Yes. Amber draws fewer insects, and both colours together give a warmer white that is easier on the eyes after dark.
